Alaska 2 westbound. It's all one name, "Fairbanks North Star". A borough is roughly equivalent to a county in the Lower 47. (May 2002 - roadside snow has melted from most places; still many ponds with more ice than open water)

Alaska 1 south/westbound. "Matanuska Susitna" is commonly abbreviated to "Mat Su". (May 2002)
